Co-Curate was founded in 2018 by Nicholas and Mikaela — two Zimbabwean-born creatives who bonded over their shared love of design and deep appreciation for African craftsmanship. Nicholas honed his skills as an interior architect before founding Code Collaborative Design, making the shift into product design a
natural progression. Mikaela’s background in hospitality and marketing gave her generous experience sourcing and exporting African craft to Europe. Together, they created Co-Curate as a platform to fully embrace their creative journey — and to nurture their shared passion for contemporary African design.
